Location & Directions

The Bark House offering b&b, with dinner if required, is located in the beautiful Exe valley in the hamlet of Oakfordbridge, just six miles south of Dulverton which is in the Exmoor National Park, and two miles west of Bampton. The Quantock Hills and Somerset Levels are all within easy reach.

M5 junct 27 take A361 signed for Tiverton.
At first roundabout take A396 signed for Dulverton and Minehead
At next mini roundabout take first left signed for Dulverton
At Black Cat junct right of big tree and straight across.
Signposted Dulverton and Exmoor do not cross the river.
Keep on A396, 100 meters passed village sign of Oakfordbridge is the Bark House.

From the Tiverton roundabout on the A361 go north signed for Dulverton and Exmoor on the A396. At the mini roundabout by the Exeter Inn take first left, then straight across at the Black Cat Crossing signed for Dulverton, keeping the River Exe on your left. Do not cross the river. The Bark House is located approximately one mile from the crossing after passing the village sign for Oakfordbridge, and is on the right side of the road, parking on the left.

From the north head south on the A396 passing the Toll House, Exbridge, the Bark House is within 3 miles, just after the village sign for Oakfordbridge, parking on the right hand side of the road.
