A wide and varied range of activities surround us; from country walks, to stately homes steeped in rich in history, to fishing in the Exe Valley, or cycling amongst the most beautiful yet challenging Exmoor scenery. We are confident that there is something for everyone.

We are just minutes away from the Exmoor National Park which offers an impressive variety of activities to keep you busy. Galloping on horses upon the heath, crossing the devil's bridge at Tarr Steps or just visiting a lovely pub to name but a few....

Fishing is very popular in the Exe Valley and will happily assist in your planning linking you with local experts or local fisheries.

Walking is extremely popular in the Exe Valley (why wouldn't it be?) and there are walks to Oakford and Bampton as well as circular walks taking in Exebridge and Stoodleigh. Leaving the valley does mean climbing a hill, but once done, the view will be well worth it.

At Anstey, a small village some 6 miles away there is excellent horse riding across the moors and in Stoodleigh, about 2 miles away, a riding centre that offers tuition.

We are a pet friendly guesthouse and have one room that pet owners may use. We also have a small orchard across the road where pets can be exercised.

We are very cycling friendly and have a lockable garage where bikes can be secured. We will also provide healthy (high energy) snacks for the keen cyclists who like to push that little bit further.

Exmoor, North Devon and West Somerset is a an amazing area to observe wildlife, you could visit Porlock Vale and the Owl and Hawk Centre, enjoy badger watching at Stoodleigh, or take an Exmoor Wildlife Safari to visit the more isolated and quieter locations.

We are happy to assist in your plans and will happily transport guests to the nearest bus stops at either: Exebridge, Bampton, or Oakford.

We are confident that our peaceful location and the vast options available to you will not disappoint and ensure that your stay with us is a pleasant one.
